CRES Statement on President Trump’s Executive Order on Climate

March 28, 2017

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) Managing Director Heather Reams released the following statement on the Trump Administration’s executive order on climate.

“Building a stable 21st Century economy must be predicated on a national commitment to develop affordable, clean, and domestically abundant forms of energy. Clean energy has a proven track record of strengthening job creation, boosting manufacturing and improving the quality of our natural environment. While CRES believes that reducing carbon in our air is critical, we need to strike a balance between that cuts burdensome red tape while simplifying regulations where possible. Instead of regulation, we encourage policymakers to embrace clean energy solutions such as wind, solar, hydro, geothermal and nuclear power and continue to advance free market policies that will speed these clean energy technologies to market,” said Reams.
