“The Department of Interior recent announcement regarding federal land rents for renewable projects underscores the need for Congress to pass, as swiftly as possible, the common-sense, bipartisan and bicameral Public Land Renewable Energy Development Act (S. 2666/H.R. 3794). This legislation would promote responsible clean energy development and a fair return to the American taxpayer, and drive renewable energy jobs, which were among the strongest growing before the COVID crisis. CRES believes Congress must act to ensure continued growth of the renewable energy sector in our quest to reduce carbon from our energy system.”
