CRES Statement On EPA Rule Votes

December 2, 2015

Washington, D.C. – James Dozier, Executive Director of Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions, released the following statement on this evening’s congressional votes pertaining to existing and updated EPA rules:

“Today we saw ten House Republicans demonstrate renewed leadership on modernizing our nation’s outdated renewable energy development laws,” Dozier said.

“These Members understand that their constituents desire meaningful energy solutions that preserve a legacy of clean air and water for future generations. CRES polling has shown that nearly seven in ten Americans are ready for research, funding and incentives to drive free market innovation and job creation with wind, solar, and hydroelectric power. This evening’s vote showed more Republican Members of Congress than ever before understand that common sense policy solutions must come before partisanship when addressing climate challenges,” Dozier concluded.
