CRES Statement on Announcement of U.S. Senate Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal

WASHINGTON, July 28, 2021 — Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions issued the following statement on the Announcement of a Bipartisan Infrastructure deal to be voted on in the U.S. Senate:

“The road to a bipartisan infrastructure bill in the Senate has been as bumpy as the potholes it aims to fix. When our infrastructure fails, the impact is felt by all Americans regardless of political party, so we applaud Senators Rob Portman and Kyrsten Sinema and the entire group of senators negotiating from both sides of the aisle for their hard work, diligence, and for getting to a bill that reflects critical infrastructure priorities.

“We support the bipartisan progress that has been made to date and thank the Senate for agreeing to give this bill free and open consideration. We encourage all lawmakers to consider it on the merits and how it aims to improve the lives, safety, wellbeing and economic outlook for their constituents and all Americans. CRES will continue to champion commonsense infrastructure investments that make our transportation, energy and water sectors more reliable, resilient, and ready for the future.”
