WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) Executive Director Heather Reams released the following statement after the U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations reported out its annual energy and water development appropriations bill, which included funding for programs supported by CRES.
“Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions applauds the U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations for advancing this spending bill, which will help our country maintain its role as a leader in energy innovation,” said Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) Executive Director Heather Reams. “This legislation aligns with several CRES priorities, and offers significant support for the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy program, the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, and carbon capture technologies. We commend Committee Chairman Richard Shelby and Subcommittee Chairman Lamar Alexander for their work and look forward to working with congressional leaders as they iron out a final bill.”
