CRES Launches $1.5 Million Ad Campaign to Promote Bipartisan Infrastructure Package

WASHINGTON, August 3, 2021 – Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) today unveiled a multistate $1.5 million broadcast and digital advertising campaign to raise awareness about the importance of passing a bipartisan infrastructure package and to garner support for investing in projects to improve America’s roads and bridges, strengthen our country’s competitiveness, and secure our power grid from foreign cyber-attacks.

“Fixing America’s aging and failing core infrastructure holds broad support across the country and across political parties,” said Heather Reams, executive director of CRES. “CRES strongly supports the bipartisan infrastructure package that works for all Americans by making our transportation, energy, and water sectors more reliable, resilient, and ready for the future. This investment in traditional infrastructure projects will modernize America’s ports and working waterfronts, ensure our energy networks better withstand foreign cyber-attacks and expand access to high-speed broadband so Americans can build new businesses and reach new markets from anywhere. This bipartisan package is focused on the essential infrastructure that makes America great and will set our economy up for long-term success.”

Ads will air across traditional broadcast networks, including nearly 2,000 television spots and nearly 40,000 radio spots, and online digital and social media platforms. Ads urge Americans to tell their U.S. Senator to support a real infrastructure plan and to thank a number of U.S. Senators for their leadership in crafting the bipartisan package. Ads for the following U.S. Senators will run in their respective state: Senators Richard Burr (R-NC), Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), Joni Ernst (R-IA), Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Jerry Moran (R-KS), Mike Rounds (R-SD), John Thune (R-SD), Tom Tillis (R-NC), and Todd Young (R-IN).

The campaign’s imagery and narratives demonstrate how infrastructure projects can make communities healthier, help combat climate change, and lay the groundwork for the industries of the future. The ad campaign encourages readers, viewers, and listeners to visit “Let’s Invest in US” (letsinvestinUS.com) to learn more about the infrastructure package and join the movement in support of commonsense investments in America’s future.
