CRES commends Senate Environment and Public Works Committee on advancing the ANIA

Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) commends Senate Environment and Public Works Committee Chairman John Barrasso (R-WY), Senator Mike Crapo (R-ID) and a bi-partisan team of senators for advancing the American Nuclear Infrastructure Act of 2020 (ANIA). This critical legislation will revitalize the United States’ nuclear infrastructure, reduce carbon emissions and bolster our nation’s economy and national security. With zero emissions, nuclear energy is safely and reliably powering 20 percent of U.S. electricity. Modernizing U.S. nuclear energy will ensure that our nation’s position as the global leader of this clean energy source is not only preserved but strengthened. CRES applauds the Senate for recognizing the power and potential of nuclear energy and supports efforts to continue to grow this dependable source of American-made energy through common sense policies like ANIA.” – Heather Reams, Executive Director of Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES)
