WASHINGTON, D.C. – Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) Executive Director Heather Reams issued the following statement on the fiscal year 2020 Energy and Water Development funding bill from House Appropriations.

“We are pleased that the Fiscal Year 2020 Energy and Water Development funding bill increases investment in Department of Energy (DOE) programs that support innovation in clean energy technologies such as the Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E) and investment in renewable energy within the office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE),” said Heather Reams, executive director of Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions. “This bill builds on past investments made under the leadership of Ranking Member Mike Simpson (ID-02) and other House Republicans who champion solutions that spur energy innovation to increase economic prosperity while working to mitigate and adapt to climate change, improve the nation’s infrastructure, and strengthen our national security.”
