CRES Applauds House Passage of EPA Tailpipe Rule CRA

WASHINGTON – Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) today applauded the U.S. House passage of Rep. John James’ (R-Mich.) Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution to nullify the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) recent “tailpipe rule,” which would stifle consumer choice and mandate an EV-only approach that won’t work for millions of Americans across the nation.

“Limiting consumer choice will not reduce global emissions,” CRES President Heather Reams in a statement about Rep. James’ CRA. “The EPA’s tailpipe rule ties the hands of hard-working Americans and ignores the benefits of hybrids, liquid fuels and American innovation in the automotive sector. CRES opposes the EPA tailpipe rule because it will result in rising costs and supports Rep. John James’ leadership in introducing a CRA measure that would stop the rule in its tracks.”
