Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions Announces Advertising Applauding Heck on Support for Clean Energy

Washington, D.C. — Today, Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) continued its radio advertising in Reno, NV applauding Representative Joe Heck for his leadership in support of clean energy solutions in Congress.

“CRES is proud to support Representative Joe Heck because he is a tireless champion for commonsense, clean energy solutions that bolster the economy, strengthen America’s national security, and preserve the quality of our natural environment for future generations,” said CRES Director of Federal Affairs Andrew Bird. “More than seven in ten voters are more likely to vote for a congressional candidate that supports an agenda that promotes the diversification and growth of clean energy resources like wind, nuclear, solar and hydropower. With less than three weeks left in this campaign season, CRES remains dedicated to standing behind Republican Members of Congress like Heck who place clean energy solutions before partisan politics and speak out in support of clean energy on the campaign trail and Capitol Hill.”

This radio buy is a continuation of a $155,000 TV and radio ad campaign in Reno that CRES unveiled last week, which is part of CRES’ $1.1 million fall campaign to support 10 candidates down the final stretch of this election cycle. In addition to spending on behalf of Representative Heck, CRES is also spending in support of Senators Ayotte, Portman, Burr, Murkowski, and Grassley, as well as Representatives Comstock, Curbelo, Dold Jr., Reed, and Stefanik. The additional investments that have been rolled out over the past two weeks include more than $440,000 in mail and phone campaigns, a $106,000 radio ad buy in Des Moines and the Quad Cities, a $110,000 radio ad buy in Alaska, and a $120,000 radio ad buy in Charlotte and Raleigh. Previously, CRES has spent $660,000 this cycle in support of Republican energy.
