WASHINGTON, D.C.  Today, Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) released the following statement upon the Administration’s proposed rule to replace the Clean Power Plan.

“The Administration’s proposal to replace the Clean Power Plan is in line with their previously stated goals around deregulation,” said CRES Managing Director Heather Reams. “Across America, state leaders have been working to address our climate challenges by reducing emissions from electricity generation. CRES calls on the Trump Administration to work with Congress and America’s governors to pursue an approach that balances the need to streamline regulations with the necessity of significantly reducing emissions and advancing clean and affordable energy solutions. We look forward to working with the Administration and leaders in Congress to implement commonsense policies that sustain the vitality of our economy, foster advanced energy development, and protect our natural environment.”
