WASHINGTON, DC – Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) Managing Director Heather Reams released the following statement regarding S.2602 – USE IT Act.
“To reach our full energy potential and reduce carbon emissions, we need to pursue an all-of-the-above energy strategy that seizes upon new forms of technological innovation that utilize our resources in a manner that protects our environment. The Utilizing Significant Emissions with Innovative Technologies (USE IT) Act is important legislation for advancing carbon capture technology. Abundant and affordable natural resources provide jobs and keep America on the path to securing our national security and energy dominance for many years to come. CRES applauds Chairman Barrasso, Ranking Member Carper, and members of the committee for their unanimous support of the USE IT Act and we look forward to its swift passage through Congress.”
