“The latest numbers from Environmental Entrepreneurs on renewable industry job losses are devastating. The clean energy sector clearly needs stimulus support, and Congress should be prioritizing it in the next round of funding. Almost 600,000 clean energy jobs have been lost to COVID-19, and another 250,000 are expected by June 30. These jobs are labor intensive and touch every state and congressional district, and represent people from all backgrounds. Prioritizing the clean energy sector will help our nation recover economically while also helping secure our energy future and reduce our carbon emissions.”
