CRES Statement on House Passage of H.R. 2740, Which Includes the FY20 Energy and Water Development Funding Bill

JUNE 19, 2019, WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 2740, a legislative package that includes the fiscal year 2020 Energy and Water Development funding bill. Below is a statement from Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) Executive Director Heather Reams noting the funding package’s strong investment in clean energy initiatives.

“Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions commends the U.S. House for passing this funding bill, which includes provisions to encourage innovation and promote clean energy technologies. We are also pleased that the legislation provides an increase in federal support for the Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E, ) energy storage, and the office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE),” said Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) Executive Director Heather Reams. “CRES applauds Republicans who are continuing to spearhead clean energy policies and urges the United States Senate to take action on this legislation.”
