JUNE 20, 2019, WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) Executive Director Heather released the following statement after the U.S. Senate confirmed Dr. Rita Baranwal to be Assistant Secretary of Energy for the Office of Nuclear Energy.

Between her leadership at the Idaho National Laboratory and private sector experience in nuclear technology development, we are wholly confident Dr. Baranwal will advance the United States’ nuclear power and expertise,” said Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) Executive Director Heather Reams. “We look forward to working with Dr. Baranwal and the entire U.S. Department of Energy to promote policies that will increase abundant, affordable and low emissions energy production.
