CRES Senior Advisor Kelly Ayotte Statement on Mitt Romney’s Candidacy in Utah & the 2018 Midterm Elections

February 16, 2018

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) Senior Advisor Kelly Ayotte released the following statement regarding Governor Mitt Romney’s candidacy in Utah and the 2018 midterm elections.

“The 2018 midterm elections will give Republicans an opportunity to make the conservative case for policies that will unleash our clean energy potential, support the ingenuity of American entrepreneurs, and cut regulations that stifle innovation and development. Working to secure the clean energy future Americans want and our economy demands is not only effective policy, it’s also good politics. CRES was formed to support bold, ideas-driven Republicans who recognize the need for conservative solutions that promote economic, energy, and climate security. We welcome Mitt Romney’s entrance into the U.S. Senate race in Utah and hope to see more Republican candidates this cycle following his lead when it comes to embracing commonsense clean energy policies,” said former U.S. Senator and CRES Senior Advisor Kelly Ayotte.
