WASHINGTON – Today, Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) President and CEO Heather Reams issued the following statement urging Congress to return its focus to comprehensive bipartisan permitting reform:
“2025 concluded with momentum around the SPEED Act and proved there is a pathway for true bipartisan permitting reform,” said Heather Reams, CRES President and CEO. “If lawmakers now allow progress to be sidelined, the cost will be measured in stalled projects, lost job opportunities and forfeited global leadership. Congress can—and should—return its focus to advancing durable policy to unleash American energy dominance.”
