CRES Commends Clean Energy Tax Incentives in Extenders Package

JUNE 21, 2019, WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) Executive Director Heather Reams released the following statement applauding the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee for approving The Taxpayer Certainty and Disaster Tax Relief Act of 2019 (H.R. 3301) that includes provisions that support clean energy technologies.

“Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions applauds the U.S. House Ways & Means Committee for advancing legislation that will provide certainty to the clean energy sector. This bill incorporates pro-growth provisions that will harness the power of the free market by extending the energy-efficient homes tax credit and a commercial buildings deduction, and also leveling the playing field for the further advancement of hydropower, biomass, and other clean energy sources,” said Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) Executive Director Heather Reams. “We urge Congress to move promptly to pass this tax extenders legislation.”
