WASHINGTON, D.C. — Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) Executive Director Heather Reams released the following statement after the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee reported out several bills to support wind development, clean energy projects in public schools, and workforce training programs with the U.S. Department of Energy.
“Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions commends the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee for reporting out this bipartisan package that supports communities across the country through improved energy grant and workforce training programs,” said CRES Executive Director Heather Reams. “We are also pleased that the panel advanced key measures aligned with our priorities of expanding offshore wind energy development and supplementing ongoing wind energy research. Today’s action by the committee demonstrates yet another example of how Chairman Lisa Murkowski and Ranking Member Joe Manchin are working across partisan lines to advance innovation in clean energy and energy efficiency. We urge the full United States Senate to take swift action on these measures.”
