SEPTEMBER 24, 2019 — Today, Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) formally announced U.S. Congressman Garret Graves, ranking member of the U.S. House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis, as a 2019 Clean Energy Champion. Congressman Graves will be recognized at the CRES Clean Energy Champion Awards Reception to be held during National Clean Energy Week (September 23-27, 2019).

“CRES is proud to announce Congressman Garret Graves as a 2019 Clean Energy Champion. Since coming to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2015, Congressman Graves has been a strong leader in protecting and preserving coastal communities, supporting clean energy research, and mitigating the threat of flooding and coastal erosion,” said CRES Executive Director Heather Reams. “We applaud Congressman Graves for his work on behalf of the Pelican State and look forward to continuing our work with him in the years to come.”

“I am proud to stand alongside Republicans leading the way on energy innovation and smart climate policies and thank Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions for this recognition,” said Congressman Garret Graves. “As ranking member of the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis, I am working hard to pursue common sense initiatives and investments in innovative technologies to address global emissions and combat climate change while enhancing U.S. competitiveness and growing our economy.”
