WASHINGTON – Today, Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) proudly announces the promotion of CRES President Heather Reams to role of President and Chief Executive Officer. This milestone celebrates Reams’ decades-long leadership and unwavering commitment to advancing commonsense, conservative clean energy solutions across the country.
“I began my time with CRES nearly ten years ago, when clean energy technology felt new, foreign and maybe even risky to many conservative Americans and their representatives here in Washington,” said President and CEO Heather Reams. “The CRES leadership and board entrusted me with their organization and gave me the opportunity not only to grow clean energy champions on Capitol Hill, but to challenge the narrative that clean energy wasn’t a Republican priority. In a city that’s always changing, we’ve remained steadfast, opening doors for Republican voices, elevating conservative leadership and proving that clean energy transcends partisan divides. I’m proud of all we’ve achieved so far, and confident that the best is yet to come.
Reams added, “I’m honored that the incredible board here at CRES has offered me an even stronger leadership role. As CEO, I remain committed to fighting for forward-thinking, commonsense energy solutions that strengthen the U.S. economy, lower costs for American families, bolster national security, fuel innovation and technology and elevate America’s leadership on the global stage. There’s a lot more ahead—for this industry, and for CRES. Let’s get to work.”
“Heather’s leadership and management have been instrumental in shaping CRES and CRES Forum’s national reputation. Through her creativity, professionalism, and initiative, CRES and CRES Forum have become leading right of center voices in clean energy and climate federal policy,” said James Dozier, President of the CRES and CRES Forum Board of Directors. “A respected and influential Republican leader, Heather has emerged as a national voice and trusted advisor to members of Congress on conservative clean energy solutions. As President and CEO, Heather’s vision, drive, and strategic insight will continue to position CRES and CRES Forum at the forefront of today’s most pressing policy conversations.”
“Heather’s years-long efforts to expand and institutionalize CRES Forum’s educational programming and reach have played a pivotal role in establishing the organization as a trusted resource on clean energy issues,” said Carla Tully, a member of the CRES Forum Board of Directors. “Under her leadership, CRES Forum’s academic and corporate partnerships have brought new voices into the fold, and I am excited to see what she will accomplish in her new role as President and CEO.”
