May 23, 2017

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Heather Reams, Managing Director of Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES), a right-of-center clean energy advocacy organization, released the following statement regarding the Trump Administration’s FY 2018 budget.

“America’s energy future is bright thanks to our thriving innovation economy. The U.S. is a world leader in clean energy production and technological advancements that are improving our lives and lives around the globe. That’s why cutting programs such as ARPA-E and clean energy development are out of step with this vision,” said Reams.

“Americans win when policymakers balance free-market economics, national security and environmental stewardship; therefore, CRES encourages the Administration and Members of Congress to prioritize reliable clean energy as part of a truly comprehensive America First energy policy in FY18. Clean energy investments and infrastructure modernization including solar, wind, nuclear, hydro, geothermal power, and natural gas improve our economy, strengthen our national security, work to achieve domestic energy independence, and preserve our climate.”
