New $500,000 Digital Ad Campaign Supporting U.S. House of Representatives Incumbents Reaches Voters in ID, LA, NY, TX and WA

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) today announced the launch of a multi-state $500,000 digital advertising campaign in support of six Republican House of Representatives candidates. The 30-and 15-second ads will appear across Facebook, Instagram and YouTube among other digital platforms and target voters in Idaho, Louisiana, New York, Texas and Washington. The digital campaign will running, Wednesday, Oct. 21st until Tuesday, Nov. 3rd, 2020.

The six Republicans CRES will help boost are U.S. Reps. Dan Crenshaw (TX-02), Garret Graves (LA-06), Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA-05), Tom Reed (NY-23), Mike Simpson (ID-02), and Elise Stefanik (NY-21). Noting their efforts to create jobs and grow the clean energy economy through support of greater advanced energy research, development, and deployment, CRES endorsed all six incumbent U.S. House members for re-election last month.

“Across the board, this impressive group of Republican candidates has a proven record of pushing forward policies that create good-paying clean energy jobs and help reduce our country’s greenhouse gas emissions,” said CRES Executive Director Heather Reams. “Getting our economy back on track is the most critical issue at the ballot box this year, which is why CRES proudly supports Republican candidates who understand that we can grow our economy and make our environment cleaner and healthier at the same time. We need smart, capable representatives in Washington who put America’s future ahead of partisan bickering. These candidates are not afraid to do the difficult work it takes to get America back to work while continuing to lead the world in emissions reductions and protecting the environment for generations to come.”

In addition to the new digital advertising campaign, CRES has also supported independent efforts to bolster the re-election campaigns of Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME), Cory Gardner (R- CO), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), and Thom Tillis (R-NC), which brings CRES’ total spending this cycle to $1.2 million.
