CRES Expands Communications, Policy and Administrative Teams

WASHINGTONCitizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) today announced the continued expansion of its communications, policy and administrative departments with the addition of four talented professionals. 

Juan Ayala has joined as Director of Communications, Noah Slayer as Digital Associate, Max Boubin as Policy Coordinator and Madison Petty as Executive Assistant to the President. 

“I am thrilled to see the CRES team grow as we continue to make a meaningful impact in advancing American energy policy that strengthens our national security, global standing and emissions reduction efforts” said CRES President Heather Reams. “Each of these new team members brings valuable talent and experience to the table, which will undoubtedly drive our efforts both internally and externally. I warmly welcome Juan, Noah, Max and Madison and look forward to seeing them contribute to our mission.”

Before joining CRES, Ayala worked on Stand Together’s editorial team, and prior, worked on Capitol Hill for several years, working in both the U.S. House and Senate. Ayala was former Senator Rob Portman’s (R-Ohio) final speechwriter, where he was in charge of drafting, editing and finalizing speeches on foreign policy, finance, infrastructure and natural resources.  Ayala also worked for Representative Cory Mills (R-Fla.) as communications director and speechwriter, in addition to Reps. French Hill (R-Ark.) and former Rep. Pete Olson (R-Texas). A Texas native from a military family, Ayala has lived across the globe from Stuttgart, Germany, to Southern California. 

Before CRES, Slayter worked with Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.) as his digital specialist, producing the Senator’s social media, as well as photo, videographic and digital content. Born and raised in the DMV area, Slayter graduated from The Catholic University of America with a Bachelor of Arts degree in politics with a certification in digital media and design. 

Prior to joining CRES, Boubin worked as legislative correspondent to former Rep. Kelly Armstrong (R-N.D.) where he managed constituent communications and policy-related projects. He also gained experience in corporate government relations working in financial services at Visa Inc. Boubin is a native of Colorado and graduated from Colgate University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and philosophy in 2024. 

Petty brings to CRES five years of executive assistant experience, having worked for CEOs and other senior staff in the consulting and data analytics space. Before this, she managed administrative tasks related to intellectual property, processing and reviewing electronic filing receipts for patent and trademark applications. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Radford University and is deeply passionate about advocating for women’s retention in the workplace and supporting autism efforts.
