CRES Congratulates Rep. Nicole Malliotakis on Primary Victory

Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) President Heather Reams issued the following statement regarding U.S. Rep. Nicole Malliotakis’ (R-NY-11) primary election victory in New York:

“CRES was proud to endorse Rep. Malliotakis for her steadfast support of commonsense climate solutions that protect our environment and empower America’s energy industries through policies that accelerate American-led innovation, fast-paced job growth, and strengthen America’s position leading the world in emissions reductions. CRES applauds Rep. Malliotakis for her leadership and commitment to boosting domestic energy independence and addressing climate change.”

As a member of both the U.S. House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the House Conservative Climate Caucus, Rep. Malliotakis has been a leader in spearheading legislative efforts that protect both our wallets and our environment. Malliotakis voted for the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which makes significant investments in our roads, bridges, and communities while also making meaningful investments in our clean energy future, as well as co-sponsored innovative stewardship policies like the bipartisan Trillion Trees Act, which promotes commonsense, resourceful legislation to naturally collect and sequester America’s carbon emissions.
