WASHINGTON – Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) President Heather Reams today congratulated Rep. Brett Guthrie (R-Ky.) for being elected chair of the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce.

In addition to his involvement in National Clean Energy Week, Rep. Guthrie has worked to unleash American energy, reduce energy costs, accelerate technological innovation and bolster America’s nuclear sector. Additionally, Rep. Guthrie was a major proponent of H.R.1, the Lower Energy Costs Act, which included commonsense policies to streamline permitting processes, spur innovation, develop more American-made energy and help the U.S. continue to lead the world in reducing emissions.
