WASHINGTON – Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) issued the following statement in support of the Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act, released today by Sens. Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), Mike Lee (R-Utah), Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) and Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.):
“This bipartisan Senate package will unleash America’s energy dominance, ensuring energy abundance and affordability,” said James Dozier, CRES Founding President and Board Chair. “This legislation promises to unlock judicial bottlenecks and guarantees the certainty necessary to invest in and deliver all the energy resources and infrastructure required to meet unprecedented energy demand.”
Dozier continued, “CRES applauds Senators Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), Mike Lee (R-Utah), Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) and Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) for their continued commitment to fixing our broken permitting process for all energy sources. We urge the Senate to act now.”
