WASHINGTON, April 27, 2021 — Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) Executive Director Heather Reams today commended the formation of a Republican climate task force in Congress following last week’s roll-out of the “Energy Innovation Agenda: Conservative Solutions for a Better Climate” by U.S. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).
“A Republican climate task force in Congress will bring a long-overlooked voice to America’s environmental policy,” said Reams. “Last week House Republican Leader McCarthy’s Energy Innovation Agenda summit showed the incredible breadth of ideas coming out of the Republican conference on climate legislation, providing America with a clear alternative to the Democrat’s Green New Deal. A Republican climate vision brings low energy prices, more energy choices, exporting American innovation instead of American jobs, less emissions and a booming economy.”
