Today’s endorsements come on the heels of previous rounds of CRES endorsements this year which included Mitt Romney (UT), Representative Barbara Comstock (VA-10), Representative Jeff Fortenberry (NE-01), Representative Mia Love (UT-04), Representative Brian Mast (FL-18), Representative Fred Upton (MI-06), Representative Mark Amodei (NV-02), Representative Carlos Curbelo (FL-26), Representative Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01), Governor Henry McMaster (SC), Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA-05), Representative Tom Reed (NY-23), Representative Elise Stefanik (NY-21), and William Timmons (Candidate for U.S. House, SC-04).

“I am proud to receive this endorsement from Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions. As a member of the bipartisan House Climate Solutions Caucus, I am an active voice in the promotion of clean and renewable energy. Almost one-third of the electricity used by Nebraska’s Second District is generated by renewable energy sources, and with our recent accomplishments this number will continue to grow. I am committed to ensuring our nation is a good steward of our environment that develops energy resources in a responsible manner. Our economy, national security, and future generations are counting on us,” said Rep. Don Bacon.

“I am grateful for this endorsement and thank Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions for their support. Our country requires a balanced approach when it comes to developing our natural resources in a way that grows the economy while protecting our environmental legacy for future generations. That is why I have continued to be a strong supporter of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory located here in Colorado, which is working on the latest technology that is unlocking our domestic energy potential, while lowering our carbon footprint to preserve our climate,” said Rep. Mike Coffman.

“It is an honor to receive this endorsement from an organization that knows there are commonsense solutions to meeting our energy needs and addressing climate change. I believe we must continue developing new resources and new technologies. So earlier this year, I introduced bipartisan legislation to encourage innovation in combating climate change, and I will continue to work with my House colleagues to find ways to improve both our nation’s energy supply and its environment. I thank Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions for their support—and more importantly, for moving the clean energy discussion forward,” said Rep. John Faso.

“America is blessed by our abundant natural energy resources. Advanced energy technologies like natural gas and wind are moving our country towards greater economic, national, and energy security. During my time as a South Dakota Public Utility Commissioner we added hundreds of megawatts in new wind energy generation from both large commercial and small local development projects. Investments in smart, proven and affordable clean energy projects will continue to play critical role in creating new energy sources without bankrupting our businesses or families. I thank Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions for their endorsement and recognizing my commitment to America’s energy future,” said Dusty Johnson.

“I am proud to receive an endorsement from Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions. Cleaner forms of energy such as nuclear are a critical economic driver for central New York, delivering reliable, emissions-free energy to consumers across our state.  My district is home to three nuclear power plants, and I will always support the clean power these plants produce and the hundreds of men and women they employ.  I have been a steadfast champion of the FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant, which generates enough carbon free electricity to power 800,000 homes and provides hundreds of skilled, well-paying jobs in our region.  I will continue to promote policies that foster New York’s clean energy portfolio and encourage the development of dependable, abundant and safe energy for years to come,” said Rep. John Katko.

“I am very pleased with this endorsement because Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions has values that are closely aligned with our priorities in the 16th Congressional District of Illinois. We are the perfect example of what it means to have an “all of the above” approach to clean energy as our area is home to nuclear power plants, hydropower plants, and ethanol and biodiesel plants. I strongly support the development of clean energy, particularly nuclear power, which employs more than 2,500 individuals in the four plants currently operating in my district. As a member of the Committee on Energy & Commerce, I will continue to advocate for clean energy and energy innovation,” said Rep. Adam Kinzinger.

“I thank Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions for their endorsement of my reelection. Oklahoma is an energy-rich state, and cleaner, more affordable sources of energy are powering our homes and creating local jobs, while still protecting and conserving our natural resources. As innovation drives how we produce energy from various sources, I will continue to fight for policies that allow us to harness our own resources, improve our clean energy infrastructure and secure American energy independence for future generations,” said Rep. Markwayne Mullin.

“I thank Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions for their endorsement. During my time in Congress it has been a priority for me to see Florida’s natural wonders preserved for future generations. Our economy is dependent on a healthy environment and that is why I have fought for immediate action to address toxic algal blooms, to make the moratorium on offshore drilling in the eastern Gulf of Mexico permanent, to address sea-level rise and have supported legislation designed to preserve our climate by to limiting harmful emissions. Our future depends on developing a robust clean energy sector that utilizes all of our abundant resources to enhance our economic, environmental, and national security,” said Rep. Francis Rooney.

“It is wonderful to have this endorsement from Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions because I know they share my values. In fact, the most important point is right there in their name: Responsible. We have to be responsible custodians of our environment; we have to be responsible to our economy and employment; and we have to be responsible by pursuing energy independence to strengthen our national security. CRES understands that we need an all-of-the-above approach to energy, and that certainly includes developing and investing in innovative clean energy resources that will grow our economy and preserve our climate,” said Rep. Mimi Walters.

“I thank Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions for their endorsement and recognition of my support for greater competition and innovation within America’s renewable energy sector. Ensuring advanced clean energy technologies like natural gas and wind can compete in an open and fair market is critical to the long-term health of the energy sector. These proven technologies are helping America’s economy by creating high-paying jobs here at home that cannot be outsourced. I look forward to continuing my work in Congress to streamline regulations that are slowing the deployment of new clean energy projects that will benefit both our energy and environmental security,” said Rep. Kevin Yoder.
