Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) today announced its second round of congressional endorsements for the 2022 election cycle. This latest round of endorsements include nine Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives who are uncontested in their primary or have primaries later this summer: U.S. Representatives Garret Graves (R-LA-06), Debbie Lesko (R-AZ-08), Frank Lucas (R-OK-03), Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY-11), Peter Meijer (R-MI-03), Dan Newhouse (R-WA-04), Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA-05), Pete Stauber (R-MN-08), and Elise Stefanik (R-NY-21).
CRES announced its first round of endorsed candidates last week, which focused on candidates who have primaries in the coming weeks.
All candidates endorsed by CRES have shown a commitment to strengthening America’s clean energy industry and reducing emissions by supporting free-market policies that unlock greater research, development, and deployment of the next generation of clean energy technologies.

The CRES-endorsed candidates have each contributed to the policy landscape in ways that advance clean energy and reduce emissions while prioritizing the needs of the country. Additionally, many candidates are members of the newly formed Conservative Climate Caucus (CCC). Examples of initiatives championed by many of the endorsees include: permitting improvements, strengthening America’s critical mineral supply chains, promoting domestic production of natural gas, clean hydrogen, advanced nuclear energy, natural climate solutions and conservation, and carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS).
