A lifelong Alaskan from Chugiak, O’Hare grew up valuing responsible resource development, shaped by summers dip net fishing on the Kenai River and a deep respect for Alaska’s energy-driven economy.
She began her public service career at 19, working for Senator Dan Sullivan (R-AK), and later, Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) in Washington D.C. In her most recent Hill role, she served as a Legislative Aide for then-Vice Chair Murkowski on her Senate Indian Affairs Committee team.
Following her time in the Senate, O’Hare joined the Wilson Center’s Polar Institute as the U.S. Polar Leadership Project Coordinator, elevating American leadership and strategic priorities in the Arctic, including national security, energy development and maritime resource management.
Outside of work, O’Hare serves as Vice President of the Alaska State Society, a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization, hosting events for more than 300 Alaskans and friends of Alaska living in Washington, D.C. She holds both an Associate of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a concentration in Arctic Affairs, from the University of Alaska Anchorage.
