Jonny Lobeck has over a decade of experience directing strategic, innovative HR initiatives at trade associations, not-for-profit organizations, and private companies. Prior to joining CRES, Jonny served in several HR leadership roles in the District of Columbia, including Director of Human Resources & Operations at Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA) and Director of Human Resources at Casey Trees. Throughout his career, Jonny has developed a specialization in government affairs, policy, regulatory, and business development. Moreover, he created two HR departments, implemented Board-level DEI working groups, served as a thought partner during a merger and acquisition, and provided coaching to senior executives when stakes were high. The foundation of his work includes data-driven solutions to connect organizational goals with individual performance.
Jonny has served as an advocate for inclusion, diversity, equity, and acceptance in the workplace, including a member of the NextGen Consumer Healthcare Leaders Subcommittee, Founder and Chair of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Acceptance (IDEA) Committee; and Liaison of CHPA’s DEI Board Steering Committee. Additionally, Jonny was Fundraiser Chair to Corazón Folklórico DC, Inc – a not-for-profit group that creates a welcoming and multicultural community. He believes that the intended result of creating a culture of belonging stimulates creativity, innovation, and engagement. Prior to moving to the District, Jonny volunteered on several campaigns across the aisle, including Governor Tim Pawlenty (R-MN) and Senator Norm Coleman (R-MN).
Outside of work, Jonny will never pass down an opportunity to “blowing some bubbles” while scuba diving, spending time in his printmaking studio, and attempting to cook a new recipe – often unsuccessful.
