TargetPoint Poll: Graham in commanding lead heading into South Carolina primary

TargetPoint Consulting was commissioned by Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions to conduct a poll of the June 10 South Carolina primary contest.

The poll found that Republican voters in South Carolina place a high priority on energy issues. The poll also found that Senator Graham enjoys strong support from Republicans heading into the primary election.

“Senator Graham has been a strong conservative leader for South Carolina in the U.S. Senate, and this poll shows that conservative voters are rewarding him for it,” said James Dozier, Executive Director of Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions. “It is also clear from the survey that the Senator’s leadership on American energy independence will be a key factor to South Carolina voters in the upcoming primary.”

The Senator holds an impressive 56% of the electorate with his nearest opponent, Richard Cash, at 7%. Graham also does equally well among those most likely to vote while the opposition candidates receive only modest increases of one or two points and none break double digits.
