In an op-ed posted in RealClear Energy, CRES President Heather Reams described H.R. 1, Lower Energy Costs Act, as a win for American clean energy and national security.
Over the last few decades, the United States government has unfortunately served as a roadblock to American energy leadership. Fortunately, the Lower Energy Costs Act represents the most meaningful federal permitting reform in decades, focusing on advancing an all-of-the-above, American energy approach.
“When American energy resources are stifled by unnecessary red tape, we export our jobs instead of our energy, and global emissions increase. That is why the United States needs the Lower Energy Costs Act,” writes Reams.
She continued, “If you support advancing and deploying innovative clean energy technologies, increasing our national and energy security, and advancing America’s energy leadership—all while reducing global emissions and mitigating climate change—then the Lower Energy Costs Act is a necessary step.”
