On June 9th, Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) and the Conservative Energy Network (CEN) brought together more than 40 advocates from 18 states for a day of meetings on Capitol Hill, advancing the case for an all-of-the-above energy strategy.

Advocates held more than 60 meetings across House and Senate offices, including 21 meetings directly with Members of Congress. Participants met with Sen. John Curtis (R-Utah), Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), Sen. Jon Husted (R-Ohio), Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-Iowa), Chair of the Conservative Climate Caucus, Rep. Bob Latta (R-Ohio), Chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Energy Subcommittee, Rep. Jen Kiggans (R-Va.) and Rep. Juan Ciscomani (R-Ariz.), among many others across nearly two dozen congressional offices.

The message delivered in each meeting focused on America’s rising energy demand, driven by a resurgence in domestic manufacturing, the electrification of homes and businesses and the growth of artificial intelligence and data centers. Advocates called for accelerating permitting reform, expanding domestic energy production, strengthening transmission infrastructure and protecting long-term energy affordability for consumers.
CEN CEO John Szoka highlighted examples from states represented in the room, pointing to states across the country leading their own energy build-out by choosing the resources that make the most sense for their geography and economy.

The fly-in builds on CRES and CEN’s continued push for a comprehensive permitting package to accelerate energy development, strengthen grid reliability and protect consumer affordability and choice.
