Senior Producer, Digital Communications

CRES is looking for a talented Digital Communications Producer or Senior Producer to be responsible for managing all of CRES and CRES Forum’s digital properties. A successful applicant should be willing to dive deep into understanding CRES and CRES Forum’s many audiences including policymakers and their staffs, policy organizations, outside stakeholders, and supporters, and effectively communicate with them through web, print, digital and social media. The ideal candidate will have an innate sense of creativity and curiosity, with a passion for high-quality, viral, and eye-catching content, organic user engagement and an ROI approach to online strategy.   

POSITION COMPETENCIES AND APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS 

  • Minimum of 3 years (producer) or 5 years (senior producer) experience managing an office or brand’s digital content including web, social, specialized audio/visual and advertising content for online audiences  
  • Experience owning social media accounts for multiple clients or in-house for a national brand, government agency, political campaign, or elected official—a plus if you have rapid response experience  
  • Experience working with real time data from online campaigns and synthesizing the information into actionable communications strategies 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in proper formatting, layout and visual design coupled with creativity and mission alignment  
  • Experience developing platform-specific messaging and communications strategies, rather than one-size-fits-all campaigns, across major social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook  
  • The ability to create and edit short-form copy (e.g., tweets) that is compelling, relevant, and technically sound  
  • Proficiency with multiple digital tools and applications including graphic design, publishing, video and / or audio production 
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills  
  • Superior organizational abilities, adept at managing multiple projects or clients simultaneously at a high standard of excellence in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment  
  • Expertise and up-to-date awareness of social media trends and tools 
  • A degree is not required, but coursework or professional development in Design, Video Production, Theater, Journalism, Communications or Marketing may be useful

  • A history of volunteering or working for conservative causes or candidates is strongly preferred

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Conceptualize, plan, and execute social media content for all digital properties within the CRES portfolio, including websites and social media platforms with original daily content, including some graphics and video development 
  • Maintain content calendars, encompassing major themes, day-to-day content, industry events and other trending topics  
  • Work directly with senior leadership to develop program and messaging in support government relations, policy and communications functions 
  • Manage organization style and branding guides 
  • Meet or exceed deadlines and deliverables 
  • Manage social paid posting strategy and other efforts to boost social media properties  
  • Manage paid and organic digital advertising, broadcast, social media and web campaigns  
  • Manage design, advertising, web development and IT vendors on behalf of the organization 
  • Contribute to efforts such as polling to better understand our core stakeholders and help build out our professional development network for specific outreach efforts 
  • Help manage internal file system and organization’s contacts database 
  • Manage delivery of email newsletters and online outreach campaigns 
  • Manage and help train junior staff and interns on digital projects and capabilities 
  • Develop social media toolkits and execute on those developed by our strategic partners 
  • Compile and present program results: ROI, brand footprint and reach/recall analytics to executive team
